Straightening Teeth Without Changing How You Live
For many adults and teens, the idea of straightening teeth comes with an unwelcome tradeoff: months or years of visible metal brackets and wires. Invisalign was developed to remove that tradeoff entirely, using a series of clear, custom fitted aligners that gradually shift teeth into place without drawing attention to the process itself.
At Precision Dental, Invisalign is often the preferred option for patients who want to correct misalignment, crowding, or spacing while continuing to eat, speak, and go about daily life with minimal disruption. Because the aligners are removable, treatment fits into an existing routine rather than requiring a patient to build their routine around it.

What Is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a clear aligner system made up of a series of custom fabricated, removable trays, each designed to move teeth incrementally closer to their final planned position. Rather than using fixed brackets and wires like traditional braces, Invisalign relies on a progression of aligners, typically worn for one to two weeks each, that gradually apply gentle, controlled pressure to shift teeth over time.
Each set of aligners is custom designed using digital scans of a patient's teeth, combined with software that maps out the entire treatment plan in advance, showing the projected movement of each tooth from the starting position to the final result. Because the aligners are made from smooth, clear plastic, they are far less noticeable than metal braces and can be removed for eating, brushing, and flossing, something that is not possible with fixed orthodontic appliances.
What Invisalign Can Treat
- Crowding. Teeth that overlap or are crowded together can be gradually shifted into proper alignment.
- Gaps and spacing. Noticeable spaces between teeth can be closed as part of a planned treatment sequence.
- Mild to moderate bite issues. Certain overbites, underbites, and crossbites can be improved with Invisalign, depending on severity.
- Relapse after previous orthodontic treatment. Patients whose teeth have shifted slightly after braces can often use Invisalign to correct minor relapse.
- Rotated teeth. Teeth that have rotated out of proper alignment can be gradually turned back into position.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Invisalign
- Mild to moderate crowding, spacing, or rotation concerns
- A generally healthy bite, or a bite issue within the range Invisalign is designed to treat
- The discipline to wear aligners consistently for the recommended 20 to 22 hours per day
- A preference for a removable, less visible alternative to traditional braces
- Good oral hygiene habits, since aligners need to be cleaned regularly alongside the teeth
