Digital X-Rays

X-rays are the foundation of dental diagnosis, and digital X-rays are the latest development in this technology. Using a digital system lets our dentists use nearly 80 percent less radiation while achieving far better clarity than traditional x-rays. Our imaging program also allows us to zoom in close to catch problems while they are still small and easily treatable. As part of this system, we also use drop-down monitors that display your X-ray in real time, so our dentist can walk you through your diagnosis and explain exactly what procedures are needed.

Panoramic X-Ray

In some cases, we need more imaging than our digital X-ray alone can provide. That is what our panoramic x-ray machine is for. It captures parts of your jaw that cannot be seen otherwise. With a single session, we can view:
  • The mandibular nerve, which provides sensation to the teeth and gums of the lower jaw
  • Your entire upper and lower jawbone, along with any existing wisdom teeth
  • Your temporomandibular joints (TMJ), or jaw joints
  • The nasal sinuses and their surrounding skeletal bone
  • Cysts, tumors, and other pathologies or infections in the jaw, which are often missed with conventional single-film x-rays taken inside the mouth

Laser for Cleanings

Laser Bacterial Reduction (LBR) therapy is a noninvasive procedure that kills bacteria remaining in the gums after a cleaning. LBR is performed using the Biolase Epic X and Epic Hygiene Lasers. This high-intensity light is focused on the gum line to target harmful bacteria in the mouth. Over the long term, using LBR during dental cleanings and as a supplement to other periodontal treatments can improve the overall health of your teeth and gums while boosting your immune system.

The Intra-Oral Camera

The dental mirror may be the classic tool of the dentist, but the intra-oral camera takes patient care a step further. It allows both the doctor and the patient to view the entire mouth on a monitor for a clear inspection. You will see firsthand exactly what we see. We can also use this camera to take photos that help verify the need for a procedure with your insurance provider.

Rotary Endodontics (Root Canal)

Endodontics treats the inside of a tooth that is broken or infected, a procedure commonly known as a root canal. This used to be a long and sometimes painful process, but modern Rotary Endodontic tools allow our team to perform root canals faster, more comfortably, and with less discomfort for our patients.
